Old Ruthinian Association website.
The Honorable Ian Trigger, President of the Old Ruthinian Association
It gives me great pleasure to commend this Website to all who retain a deep affection for
It is the result of a great deal of research, hard work and enthusiasm by members of the Old Ruthinian Committee and I am extremely grateful to them all.
I hope that reading it will bring back pleasant memories. The O.R. Committee organise many events throughout the year and it would be good to see more of you at these events.
The highlight each year is the annual dinner held in Ruthin on the Saturday immediately before Remembrance Sunday.
Over the last few years the School, under the inspired leadership of Toby Belfield, and the dedication of members of staff, has made enormous academic strides. Our A Level results in particular have been consistently excellent over the past few years. This has resulted in increased numbers of pupils attending the School both as boarders and day pupils. There are now over 300 pupils at School and the number is expected to increase to about 350 by September 2016, with the opening of a new purpose built house on site providing high quality study bedrooms.
If you have not visited Ruthin School for a while this would be an excellent time.
You will be assured of a very warm welcome.
Ian J.C. Trigger
